Moriah & Frank’s Santa Barbara Intimate Courthouse Wedding

Before we dive into this special day, I wouldn’t be doing their relationship justice if I didn’t mention that their first date was at IKEA - how cool is that? Literally walking through a furniture/home knickknack maze with a complete stranger. I was a BIG fan of them the second I learned this hah.

Onto the wedding - there's something undeniably magical about couples who choose to elope. Moriah and Frank's intimate ceremony at the historic Santa Barbara Courthouse proved that sometimes all you need is love and the perfect backdrop.

The Spanish Colonial Revival architecture provided an elegant setting as they exchanged heartfelt vows on the courthouse's back lawn. Moriah looked radiant as she walked up the courthouse steps to meet Frank, and their first look in the courthouse garden captured those pure, genuine emotions that make elopements so special.

After their ceremony, we ventured to Mesa Lane Beach for portraits. The overcast sky created perfect soft lighting conditions, while the moody atmosphere enhanced the intimate feeling of their day. They walked hand in hand down the wooden stairs to the beach, stealing glances and sharing quiet laughs. With shoes off and toes in the sand, they explored the shoreline together as newlyweds.

Their beautiful day reminded us that love doesn't need perfect weather or elaborate plans – sometimes the most precious moments come from simply being together, making promises, and celebrating love in its purest form.
